coyote lake cast Enemy Owl Visits Nesting Box?

We have a murder mystery on our hands. At 1:29am on 4/11/2016, one of our owlets (Nina) was seen being snatched from the nest box by another owl. Unfortunately, we were not able to recover the video of this incident.

The likely culprit would be a Great Horned Owl or Barred Owl, but these owls don't match the description of those that witnessed the attack. One of our viewers wrote in to our local newspaper's wildlife columnist, and her comments can be viewed here: http://www.mercurynews.com/news/ci_29...

The barn owl in this video, taken 4/22/2016, has visited the nesting box at least six times, and the owlets are clearly fearful of this owl, indicated by the screeching, beak clicking and wing fluttering. The visiting owl may be delivering food, because it almost looks like one owlet rips something from the visitor's beak. Is this a food delivery? An enemy/bully visitor? Could our enemy owl be a male barn owl wanting Aspen's territory?
